The AD Server Software latest version is 15.8.5.
All options are now back working 100% with some added features restored to help with keeping the system running smoothly.
Automatic Reset: At the bottom on the Desktop Control Panel software there something called “Set Restart Time”. This will make the Ad Server software end and restart at the specified time to clear out any possible issues that Windows might have like memory or trash. By default the system will do this anyway at midnight if you run your systems 24/7 like many do. A by product of the automatic reset is the software keeps updated to the latest version at all times.

Watchdog Timer: I also added what’s called a Watchdog Timer to monitor ads to make sure none get hung up and stop changing. If this happens it will exit the Ad Server software and run it again performing a reset.
Using the USB drive for ads for systems without Internet support.
The Ad Server can run without being connected to the internet, however you must first set it up using the internet in the first place at home or on location. This means setting up the Ad server 100% with the internet and then copying your ads to a USB drive the next time you run the system. After this point all you have to do is change out the ads on the USB drive as you desire. The reason is that many settings are pulled from the internet when you first setup your system.
Remember your custom screen mode has to be set while connected to the internet before you use the system offline with a USB drive. More here
YouTube Videos not working with updates from VLC. If your system is not playing videos please run the local VLC and check for updates. More here
Fixed the VS_ protocol for streaming video services that don’t have a end. This allows you to show these types of video feeds and kill them after a set time.

Updated weather and news to show up on the hour for 5 min. The weather will also have a setting for your local zip code unlike the one I have now that tries to use your IP address.
I scraped the stand alone system with hand sanitizer and temp check. Just too much trouble.
