As you all know DAM has some pretty unique features for Live Streaming content, but until recently you were limited to YouTube. Some months ago I added Vimeo, direct links to saved videos in the system and on the internet.
Until now I didn’t include the ability to test Vimeo Tagged Images using the VM_ mode for streaming from Videos from Vimeo. The latest version is 4.9.2 and you also need to be updated on VLC which you can see here. To get the latest Desktop Control Panel software just click on the icon below if you have installed the latest software.
VM_
Your Ad Server can stream any Vimeo video by naming an uploaded image with the special 11 characters that identify each Vimeo video. Use the “VM_” prefix and then the YouTube ID followed by how many minutes to play the video (max 99). The software is designed to allow 10 minutes of ads to be displayed before Video Ads will be allowed to stream. Once a video ad starts it can stream from 01 to 99 minutes and 30 to 59 seconds set by the suffix of the file name.

Note: As time permits I will be adding the other modes like VS_, L_ and H_. These are pretty complicated modes and take a matching text file to function, but I will get around to it.
